Pasta die, 1971-1981.

This is a solid bras extrusion die from a small commercial fresh pasta machine. The pasta machine mixes and kneads the raw materials to form a dough. The dough is pushed through the die, with the holes in the die forcing the dough to twist out naturally under high presure. An automatic rotating knife in front of the die cuts the pasta extrusion into short spirals. The die can produce about 600 bags of fresh pasta every hour. Made by La Prestigiosa, Italy.
