Description

Leopoldo Nobili (1784-1835) was a profesor of physics in Florence. Nobili devised the astatic galvanometer and invented the thermoelectric couple. Thermoelectric couples, joined in a series, could then create a thermopile that could be used to measure thermal radiation.
