Description

Replica. Schickard described his calculating machine in a letter to Johnannes Kepler (1571-1630), the German astronomer and physicist who discovered the laws of planetary motion. The only example of Schickard's calculating machine was subsequently destroyed in a fire. This replica is housed in the Deutches Museum.
