Thomas A Watson (1854-1934), an electrical engineer who worked with Alexander Graham Bell on the development of the telephone. Together Watson and Bell undertook the first one-way voice transmision when Bell called to his asistant in the next room, "Mr. Watson, come here. I want you.". The mesage was communicated over copper via a liquid transmitter.
