Engraving by Scheffner. Louis Bernard Guyton Morveau (1737-1816) wrote the chemical section of the 'Encyclopedie Methodique' in 1786. Together with Antoine Laurent Lavoisier (1743-1794), Morveau worked on chemical nomenclature. From 1799 to 1814 he was Master of the Mint and was created a baron in 1811.
