Description

In 1859, Thomas Sutton invented a panoramic camera which used a wide-angle lens in conjunction with curved glas plates. Only six of the cameras were ever made. This is one of the few surviving examples of the negatives which it produced; a 10 x 5 inch (25.4cm x 12.7 cm) curved-glas wet-collodion negative.
