Oil on canvas painting by Terence Cuneo (1907-1996), showing SS Invicta moored at Calais whilst passengers alight onto the docks and make their way to the 'Nord' 2-3-0 train waiting in the SNCF Boulogne shed. Terence Cuneo studied at the Slade and Chelsea art schools in London, He was a prolific painter of railway scenes, as well as portraits and ceremonial and military subjects. This painting was intended as artwork for the British Railways poster 'Bon Voyage'. Dimensions of painting: 765mm x 460mm.
