Photograph. Sir Richard Glazebrook (1854-1935) was President of the Physical Society from 1903 to 1905. Glazebrook was the first director of the National Physical Laboratory 1899-1919 and the first president of the Institute of Physics. Glazebrook was knighted in 1917.
