Description
Coloured lithograph, drawn and lithographed by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait (1819-1905), showing a view of the tracks and platforms of Brighouse Station, on the Manchester & Leeds Railway. The railway was constructed from 1837 under the supervision of George Stephenson (1781-1848), and covered a 51 mile stretch acros the Pennines. Printed by Day & Haghe, lithographers to the Queen, 1845.
