Description

Advertisement produced for Kodak Ltd showing a photograph of a young woman about to climb into a car, carrying a small camera. The introduction of portable rollfilm cameras increased the number of women taking photographs and Kodak recognised their potential as important hobby users. The American Eastman Kodak Company, founded by George Eastman (1854-1932), had been producing roll film and 'box' cameras since the 1880s, becoming the leading manufacturer of cameras for amateur use.
