Lithograph, drawn and lithographed by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait (1819-1905), printed & published by Bradshaw & Blacklock, London & Manchester, 1848, showing a street scene outside Manchester's London Road Station, on the London & North Western Railway line. While in Manchester during the 1840s, Tait learned the techniques of lithography. During his early career, he produced detailed architectural prints and went on to become a painter of animals and member of the American Hudson River School.
