Front view. Made in Leeds by the French inventor, Louis Le Prince (1841-1890?), this was used to record sequences of images at about 16 pictures per second on George Eastman's (1854-1932) paper roll film in Leeds in October 1888 and is thus one of the earliest examples of a film camera.
