Lightweight, portable pumps were developed to provide an immediate and low cost means of fire fighting, which could be kept on company premises for use before the fire brigade arrived. This sectioned pump, made by Godiva Fire Pumps Ltd, is light enough to be carried by two people, yet its engine can deliver 250 gallons of water per minute. It is also known as the FWMP or Feather Weight Motor Pump.
