Description

Colin Brown (1818-1896) devised and patented a voice harmonium incorporating the 'natural keyboard' in 1875. This was a musical instrument which had additional keys to allow a range of scales to be played in perfect intonation instead of the (slightly inaccurate) scale of equal temperament, which is the best that can be done with an ordinary keyboard.
