Astronaut Thomas Mattingly training for extra vehicular activity (EVA) underwater to simulate the weightlesnes of space. The astronaut is in full spacesuit and is asisted by two divers. Apollo 16, launched on 16th April 1972, was the fifth succesful manned moon landing mision and astronauts John Young and Charles Duke became the ninth and tenth men to walk on the Moon. Mattingly, the Command and Service Module pilot, remained in lunar orbit while Young and Duke were on the surface.
