Astronauts Charles Conrad and Alan Bean, training by a mock up Lunar Module with a Surveyor spacecraft in the background. They are removing scientific equipment from the Module's hold. Apollo 12, the second manned lunar landing mision, was launched on 14th November 1969, with astronauts Conrad, Bean and Richard Gordon on board. It landed on the area of the Moon's surface known as the Ocean of Storms, very near an earlier unmanned probe, Surveyor 3, which was visited on the mision. Conrad and Bean became the third and fourth men to walk on the Moon.
