The Lunar Module, codenamed Eagle, with astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin aboard, rises from the moon to rendezvous and dock with the Command and Service Module (Columbia) at the end of the historic first Moon landing mission. Columbia, with astronaut Michael Collins on board, had orbited the moon while Eagle landed on the lunar surface, enabling Armstrong and Aldrin to become the first humans to set foot on another planetary body. The Earth can be seen above the lunar horizon.
