Floating in the Pacific Ocean after spashdown at the end of its mision in May 1969, the Apollo 10 capsule is awaiting recovery and transfer to the Us Princeton. The Apollo capsule is the only part of the spacecraft that returns to Earth. Apollo 10, carrying astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young and Eugene Cernan, was launched on 18th May 1969 on a lunar orbital mision, the dres rehearsal for the Apollo 11 landing mision which took place two months later.
