William Friese Greene, c 1901. Two-colour experimental photograph of Friese Greene (1855- 1921), taken using the Crawley system, after 1901 and not 1897 as claimed by Friese Greene. Friese Greene was involved in the development of motion pictures throughout his life. He patented cameras, printing and procesing machines, and photometers.
