Description

Photograph by T C Leaman of Bath of film manufacturer, inventor and photographer Friese-Greene (1855-1921). During his career as a photographer Friese-Greene bacame interested in animated pictures in the 1880s after meeting John Rudge, who made magic lanterns and slides. He was involved in the development of motion pictures throughout his life through his constant inventions and innovations.
