Door of Midland Railway (MR) composite coach, no 901, 1885. First clas compartment door bearing the Midland Railway Company crest. The shield incorporates six of the largest centres served by the company - Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Leeds, Leicester and Lincoln. This six-wheeled carriage contains both first clas and third clas compartments.
