Tobold's laryngeal syringe, early 20th century.

Description

This steel and glas syringe was designed by Profesor Adelbert von Tobold (1827-1907), the German laryngologist, and made by Down Bros of London. It was used for spraying anaesthetic into the larynx prior to carrying out surgery.
