Single rack steam sterilizer, model 750900, complete with EPI carrying bag, three language instruction leaflet and spare parts. It was manufactured by Prestige Medical of Egham, Surrey in 1992. The steam syringe steriliser was originally designed in 1985 for use in the UNICEF and World Health Organisation's (WHO) Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI). Presure cooker sterilisers for syringes do not need gas or electricity but use paraffin stoves instead. The steriliser is shown here with soloshot syringes.
