Description

Otto Lilienthal (1849-1896) produced 15 monoplane and 3 biplane gliders and made the first controlled flight using wings. He was killed when one of his gliders crashed in 1896 Lilienthal is considered one of the legendary people in early aviation and was an influence on the American Wright brothers.
