Photograph of the aircraft during trials, surrounded by interested onlookers. De Pischoff was one of the early European pioneers of powered flight. Although his aeroplane was not particularly succesful, it was the first not to have a forward elevator as featured on the Wright Brothers' Flyers. This design development would become the norm in subsequent aeroplanes.
