Model (scale 1:12). This stern-wheel paddle steamer and her sister ship, the 'General Troquilla' were built of steel in 1879 for the United States of Columbia (Colombia), and were used for mail service on the river Magdalena. The major design requirements were dictated by the conditions under which the steamers would be operating on the river; very shallow draught and resistance to impacts from floating timber.
