Model (scale 1:72) made by R J Collins, of the Tudor warship, 'Henri Grace a Dieu' or 'Great Harry', that was built at Woolwich in 1512-1514. The model is based on an illustration by Anthony Anthony, one of the Officers of the Ordnance at the time. It is taken from the Anthony Anthony Roll of 1546, an ordnance inventory detailing the firepower of Henry VIII's navy which also provides an important visual record of the ships. Although a source of useful information, the accuracy of Anthony's illustrations is questionable and should not be taken as accurate. This warship, popularly known as 'Great Harry', displaced over 1000 tons but was accidentally burnt at Woolwich in 1553 and later rebuilt with two gun decks.
