Unrigged model (scale 1:48) of a typical 60-gun ship. The stern of this model of a two-decker has a single, open balustraded stern-walk with 'open quarters', open acces to the port and starboard quarter-galleries. Stern-walks were introduced again about 1680 for larger vesels. From this date it was usual to have two stern-walks on a three-decker and one on a two-decker.
