Baird 'Disc model' televisor (1930). Made by J L Baird (1888-1930) the television pioneer. From 1922 onwards he devoted himself to experimentation and development of television, and the first real demonstration was between two attics in Soho, London, in 1926. He started the world's first television station, named ZTV in 1926, and by 1927 had been able to transmit pictures by telephone line from London To Glasgow.
