Model (scale 1:48). The eight ships of the Diadem clas, built from 1896 to 1902, were the last heavy cruisers to have hulls without side armour and protected only by a curved armoured deck. They were 462 ft long, with a displacement of 11,000 tons. They carried a main armament of 16 6-inch guns. During World War I the 'Diadem' was converted into a minelayer, and was sold in 1921.
