The locomotive and tender shown in this sectioned model (scale 1:8) were designed by W Adams and built at LSWR's Nine Elms works near Swindon in Wiltshire. It began its working life as an expres train from Waterloo to Bournemouth and Exeter and was finally relegated to hauling local traffic between Southampton, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Salisbury and Templecombe. View shows unsectioned side.
