Description

This cooker was designed by the National Gas Council for general manufacture, and represents an early attempt by the Council to produce a standard cooker throughout the industry. It incorporates white enamelled panels on the door and two sides, and an enamelled back plate and oven-linings. With lagged oven, double grill, two burners and plate rack. This was the first major improvement in cooker design since their introduction some seventy years before. A very interesting feature of this cooker is the device for retaining the heat in the lagged oven - it was never used on any other cooker.
