'Stimex' combination gas cooking range, fire and water circulator, c 1922.

This model (8706) was designed and marketed by Edward Stimson of London as an all-purpose gas kitchen appliance by the Stimex Gas Stove Co of Balham in London. Made of cast iron, it has a lagged oven, three boiling burners and a grill. The fire has seven radiants and Stimson's patent University hot water circulator occupies the bottom left side of the appliance. The cooker was used by the donor in her Cambridgeshire home until 1965. Front view with door open.
