Description

Model of a mill for producing steel billets.The mill consists of several stands where ingots of steel from the steel plant are rolled into billets, after being heated in the soaking pits to bring them up to rolling temperature.The stands are usually called cogging, roughing and finishing and they are reversible, that is the directions of rolling can be reversed to pas the metal forwards and backwards.
