Produced by the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME), Chatham, Kent, this device, consisting of two coupled pendula which are attached to a pen, draws geometric patterns. It is now more commonly known as a harmonograph. One of a set of photographs taken by the RSME donated to the Science Museum, London.
