Thomas Graham, Scottish chemist, c 1850s.

Thomas Graham (1805-1869) was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He became one of the first profesors of the Andersonian University, taking up the Chair of Chemistry. His three major areas of contribution to chemistry are in the diffusion of gases, colloid chemistry and the determination of the formulas of polyatomic ions.
