Poster produced for British Railways (BR) to promote rail travel to Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. The poster shows a young woman in a green bikini holding up a starfish, with the beach stretching out behind her. Artwork by Arthur C Michael, a painter and etcher who worked mainly in watercolour or bodycolour. He illustrated books and periodicals and designed posters for London & North Eastern Railway (LNER).
