Poster produced for the Liverpool Overhead railway (LOR) advertising a round trip of the docks and ocean liners for the Liverpool Overhead Railway. In 1821 the LOR became the first electrically-worked railway, the first to use an escalator, automatic signalling and a colour light system. Until its closure in 1956 the line remained independent, even from nationalisation. Artwork by W.T.
