Poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote parked, equipped railway carriages as affordable holiday camping accommodation for six people, at a cost of £3 per week. A group of holidaymakers are shown here seated in deckchairs, beside their camping coach in the countryside, with a river and boy scout camp in the background. Artwork by Frank Newbould (1887-1951), who studied at Bradford College of Art and joined the War Office in 1942. He designed posters for LNER, Great Western Railway (GWR), Orient Line and Belgian Railways.
