Poster produced by London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to North Yorkshire. The poster shows a view of Fountains Abbey, which was founded in 1132, is Britain's largest monastic ruin. Artwork by Henry Rushbury (1889-1968), who studied at the Birmingham College of Art and later at the Slade Art School under Henry Tonks. He was a watercolourist, etcher and drypoint artist who favoured architectural scenes. Dimensions: 1016 mm x 1270 mm.
