Description

Poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) and London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to Royal Deeside in the Scottish Highlands. The poster shows a view of Braemar Castle, which was built in 1628 by the Earl of Mar and used by Hanovarian troops after the Jacobite Rising of 1745. Artwork by James McIntosh Patrick.
