Poster produced for the Great Western Railway (GWR) and the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) promoting rail travel to the city of Bristol, showing a view of the church of St John on the Wall. St John's was built on a section of the town walls in the 1300s, and its simple perpendicular tower is the only remaining mediaeval spire in Bristol. Artwork by Claude Buckle (b 1905).
