Description
"Damaged signal box at Westborough, about 1927. This damage has possibly been caused by a train running into the signal box. Accidents could be caused for a number of reasons, for example by locomotives having inadequate brakes. They could also have natural causes such as avalanches, thick snow or flooding, causing derailments."
