"Trolleys at the London, Midland & Scottish Railway's Oldham Road goods depot, Manchester. These trolleys were used for moving freight around the goods depot, and into warehouses. Goods yards used horse-drawn transport at this time to move large amounts of freight, although mechanical horses and road vehicles were soon to become increasingly common. However, using a trolley is the best way to transport small amounts of freight."
