"Salt paper print by Nicolaas Henneman. William Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877) helped Henneman to set up the Reading Establishment in 1844. This was a photographic studio where salt prints could be mass produced to be featured in Talbot's book 'The Pencil of Nature', the first book to be illustrated with photographs. The studio was not a financial success and had to be closed after four years."
