A photograph of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and her daughter Princess Elizabeth (later Elizabeth II), waving to the crowds from the balcony at Buckingham Palace, following the Coronation of George VI, on 12 May 1937. King George VI was Elizabeth II's father. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs.
