Mrs William Connell promenading in a striking black and white outfit, on the second day of Ascot. She is wearing a long black dress with a deep v-shaped neck which then gathers close to her body until flaring out at the knee. The dress has black and white hoops running to the knee and then black and white stripes falling to the floor. She wears it with a short, tailored white jacket decorated with large roses on the lapels, and a large white picture hat. Photograph by Reuben Saidman.
