Description

Thomas Ernest Bennett (TEB or 'Tibby') Clarke wrote several of the Ealing Studios comedies including 'The Lavender Hill Mob'. Jack Whittingham won a court case against Ian Fleming after Fleming's James Bond novel 'Thunderball' didn't credit Whittingham even though he had collaborated on the screenplay for the film. After a court battle, Whittingham received the 'based on a story by ...' credit in subsequent editions.
