Dufay process photograph. 'By comparison with the soft hues of the Autochrome, pictures taken using the Dufay process look brilliantly coloured, and bear a far closer resemblance to modern colour plates. Like Autochrome, Dufaycolor used a screen of minute coloured filters, but these took the form of a pattern of narrow lines.'
