Fagan reclining in a deckchair by the pool. Fagan was manager of Liverpool FC during the 1980s, and is shown here with the European Cup, following his side's victory in the final over Roma. The match, which was played in Rome, was won by Liverpool 4-2 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 in extra time. The European Cup (now known as the Champions' League) is Europe's most prestigious club competition. Liverpool FC won the competition four times between 1977 and 1984.
